Every business needs a website. It is an absolute MUST! Nowadays, it’s like not being in the phone book. The Internet is a digitally-indexed database that is searchable. Whenever anyone wants to know more about anything, they look it up on the Internet, in their own time, 24/7, without the pressure of a sales person. With search engines, such as Google.com or Yahoo.com, the information they are looking for can be found in seconds. If you aren’t where people are looking, you CAN’T get the sale. Even if you aren’t planning on selling anything online, you still need to have an Internet presence, telling your story and being a 24/7 sales person for you. The Internet is information. So, even if you just have an informational website, people can find out more about you, your company, what you have to offer, and why they should choose you over your competition. A website gives you the opportunity to get all of that across to your potential customer. Following, are proven components of a website and why you will need them in yours. A Home Page is the window into your website and should be short, sweat, and to the point. Statistically, it has been proven that you get about 3 seconds, once a person arrives at your website, to get them interested enough to click for more information. If you can get them to click, then you have them! If you try to give them all of the information at once, then you will lose them. Some websites try to give you their inventory on the home page, or write a story that scrolls forever. This is not good. A home page should not scroll. This is a big “No No”. When people get to a home page and see paragraphs, trust me, they go on to the next website. It needs graphics that represent the services, happy pictures, happy customers, and a quick sales pitch. Remember, people are lazy and won’t read large amounts of text, unless they have a need to. And included on the home page, needs to be quickly gotten across, why someone should use you over your competitor. The About Us page sometimes gets left off, in favor of making the home page the About Us page. You will want to have an About Us page that explains in detail what you have to offer, your history, your mission statement, and a good reason that a potential customer should use buy from you over your competitor. This can be seen as the detailed version of the home page. However, it is a mistake to forgo the About Us page in exchange for a detailed home page. Again, this will just push people away who do not want to read all of the details to find out who you are and what you have to offer. This information should be available for those who wish to see more information after they are intrigued by the home page. Design rules. For uniformity and good design, websites (any marketing piece) should have rules for graphic elements and text. For example, all headings should be the same size/style/color, etc. All subheads should have their own size/style/color, etc. This helps the eye make sense of what it is looking at. Guide your visitor with well-placed graphics and text. Make sure that your website has good navigation, with buttons/links for all main sections of your website. And be sure to keep these navigation buttons/links visible on ANY page. There is nothing more frustrating than to not be able to find your way while browsing a website. People will leave before becoming too frustrated. Don’t let this happen on your website!

If you’d like to create and publish your own web site on the Internet, your first step should be to decide what type of web site you would like to create and what web design language you would like to use.

Although there are several web design languages to choose from, make sure you take some time to research your options to ensure you’re making the best choice for your project.

Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)

The easiest and most popular web design language is Hypertext Markup Language, better known as HTML. This language is so simple you can type the syntax into a text editor, such as Notepad, save it with an .html extension and instantly have a web page.

Although HTML will enable you to create simple web sites, if you want something more dynamic, you’ll need to look into using other languages:

PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP)

PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor, better known as PHP, is a highly popular, server-side scripting language that can be embedded directly into HTML coding.

PHP can do anything that CGI (Common Gateway Interface) can do, such as process form data and auto generate dynamic content. However, PHP can do much more. It can be used on all major operating systems and supports most web servers.

PHP’s main focus is development for the web, so it has a quick development time and can solve scenarios much quicker than some of the other web design languages.

ColdFusion

ColdFusion, developed by Macromedia, is used to build and serve web pages. It consists of ColdFusion Studio, which is used to create web pages, and ColdFusion Server, which is used to display the web pages.

One of the best features of ColdFusion is the ability to create web pages ‘on the fly’ from content stored within a database.

For example, a variety of content can be placed within a database as ‘pieces of content.’ When a user types in the web address to retrieve the web page, ColdFusion dynamically develops the pages, from the ‘pieces of content,’ as they are served.

Although it is very reliable, ColdFusion may be better suited for larger companies rather than individuals, as it is fairly expensive.

With technological advancement, web 2.0 web applications are being developed every day and static websites are no longer just simply static, they are either migrated to dynamic websites using PHP, ASP, JSP and other programming languages to provide customized contents to users and also rich interaction or static websites are made more interactive by adding elements like flash banners to impart very interactive look to your website. These dynamic websites have provided user interaction by providing interface for users, eBay online auction store, Amazon book store; Yahoo stores are live examples which let users do real time shopping by creating accounts online, place orders, check their account status and swipe cards for payment – everything is secure online. Ecommerce storefront development, portal development, b2b osCommerce development have mobilized are life and making everything possible over internet.

Now coming to these dynamic websites visibility, these web sites should be search engine friendly but it is really difficult to make these dynamic websites search engine friendly.

What led to need of creating dynamic websites??
With growing need to sell products and services online for global reach and visibility in very short span of time websites are developed and internet proved the best tool for promotion of your business. Selling services through static websites is not a hard nut to crack but coming to selling thousands of products online developers started finding difficulty. Dynamic websites are web sites whose web pages are generated on fly and provide interactive experience to users. Web pages have interactive navigation and generated on demand in comparison to static websites where web pages navigation are just hyperlink based. Static websites are easily indexable by major search engines but dynamic websites are not easily indexed by search engines. With the point to sell products online, ecommerce storefront are developed providing user interactive interface, this virtual online store provides real time shopping interface to its customers. It is not easy to develop a static website to promote thousands of products and manage those pages, as this requires creating unique pages for every product.

These dynamic websites to create interactivity use either server side scripting or client side scripting languages. Dynamic web pages are created on fly, many web pages really do not exist on the server, on demand they are created when a user generates a query and if the site is database driven, query string is manipulated and then this string pulls the web page from the database and they do not physically exist and thus are not indexed by search engine. It is not really easy to index these websites, but there are few important ways to optimize these websites for search engines.

URL Rewriting: Dynamic web pages URLs are query strings with delimiters like question mark; also these URLs are very long and have encoded variables generated by scripting languages. These links are generated and modified by scripting language by adding a session id to the generated URLs to keep away users from blocking the cookies, these session ids are unique for every visit of Google. Still many search engines do not index these dynamic web pages, the search engine spider get lost in loops. You need to manually rewrite these URLs by removing special characters, symbols and variables like – ?!= these. Some open source content management systems have modules for URL rewriting. Example: Joomla generates search engine friendly URLs and provides page caching mechanism. CGI/Perl script is another way for getting your site indexed by search engines. Query part of dynamically generated URLs is assigned variable that returns a search engine friendly URLs that are easily indexed by search engine crawlers.

A dynamic website is one that is written in a server-side scripting language of some sort, and crucially, can also interface with a database. The advantage of this is that it allows for any kind of data to be displayed and manipulated on your website. Below are just some of the applications that a dynamic website can be used for:

eCommerce: managing products, customer database and orders all on the one website Bookings: displaying real time information on availability, as well as allowing bookings to be added directly in to the system Forums: threaded discussion boards on any topic you wish Member’s area: have members register, sign in and manage their accounts

If our holiday cottage firm instead wished to manage their bookings through the same website that their visitors use, they could have a page displaying current availability, take bookings (and payment) directly in to the database updating the availability instantly.

Examples of the scripting languages used in developing dynamic websites are Microsoft’s ASP and ASP.Net languages, ColdFusion or the Open Source favourite, PHP.

These languages can be used to interface with any kind of database: SQL, MySQL and Microsoft’s Access being the primary ones used.

Which type of site is best for me?

The purpose for which you are intending to use your website should be the primary driver behind this decision, and hopefully the information above has given you some insight in to this. However, the other factor that differentiates the too is another important consideration; cost.

The big advantage of a static website is that there are many types of WYSIWYG editor available to help with the designing of these websites. Microsoft FrontPage, Macromedia Dreamweaver and other similar packages make it easier than ever to create and manage a website. Some bolder business owners might dispense with the need to hire a designer at all and create their website completely themselves. Even if you don’t have the inclination to do this yourself, finding someone able to design a website for you using one of these packages is easy and significantly cheaper than hiring a ‘developer’.

However, if you require the kind of dynamic functionality present in dynamic websites, then a developer is the person that you will need to look for. These are web professionals who are experienced in coding and designing databases and tying the two together, and can write any kind of application that you could possibly need. However, this kind of skill-set will come at a premium, and therefore you can expect to pay a higher rate than you would for a static website designer.

Luckily there is one final tip for potentially reducing this cost: there are a number of existing ‘open source’ programs out there that can be used to accomplish your goals. For example, if you are looking to set up an on-line store then there are great packages out there from the likes of ZenCart or OsCommerce. It is a very rare situation indeed where you will need to hire a developer to create your website completely bespoke: instead you should hire someone who can suggest suitable open source packages, and then customise these to your requirements. It will work out much, much cheaper for you.

Online ventures can not get success without feature-rich and user-friendly websites. So, online marketers and companies strive to make it sure that their website looks good and it attract visitors. Attraction is just one factor, it is tried that visitors spend some time there and do one or two functions, do purchasing or get involved in some activities. All this is possible if a website is good enough. Website designing services can be used in that case. These services can help you in preparing a wonderful website.

A website which is beautiful and which can help in making your product and services popular among the Internet users. The world of Internet is highly competitive.
Websites play a vital role in the progress of a company. Almost 45% of the business these days, are being conducted Online. And dynamic websites play a very important role in this business transaction. They make the websites, user-oriented or user friendly, and also enable smoother and more efficient website interactions.

When a dynamic website is being designed, there are a few points which should always be kept in mind. These features are part of the designing phase but should ideally be incorporated right from the planning of dynamic website designing itself.

Lets begin with the meta tags and their descriptions. The title tags and the meta tags play a very important role in the ranking of the dynamic websites. Therefore, every page in a dynamic website should have title tags and meta tags inserted so that they can easily catch the eyes of the search engines.

Along with these, there should also be the facility to add some more additional meta descriptions if required.

The title tags and meta keywords are usually restricted to a certain number of characters only. The dynamic website designing, should thus ensure that a character limitation is stated in the these text boxes so that it does not exceed the assigned numbers.

The admin panel in the dynamic website designing too requires extra attention. The admin panel of the dynamic sites should have a link management feature along with broken links checker and reciprocal link checkers in the same panel. These features are extremely useful in maintaining and the proper functioning of the dynamic websites.

In all, the Dynamic websites actually facilitate content navigation through images or texts as the case might require. This interaction is involved in two different ways while dynamic website designing is still on. They are the client-side scripting and the server side scripting. The client side scripting includes the changing of interface protocols within the web pages. And the server side scripting actually include the changes that are carried out in the supplied page source.

The best part of dynamic website designing is that they enable a lot of interaction between the websites and the user, content management, automated navigation facilities and it also uses a number of sophisticated tools, that make website analysis easier and effective.

But as web Programming Language PHP and database MySQL are free(open source) so they are much more popular as well as secure. Most of latest work is being done in these two technologies, which are also very much easy to get started.

Some people might argue that their site ranks topmost in the search engine rankings and therefore they do not require SEO services anymore. But this is not true. Even a website with the top ranking requires optimization services to maintain that exciting position. This is because Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a vicious circle that requires constant ongoing efforts from experts who work on the behalf of the Webmaster to fight an uphill battle in the search engine results.

What do they do?

A professional search engine firm helps you strengthen the corporate identity of your website at an international level on the Internet. They bring into the notice of the Internet users, services and products that are being offered at your company’s website. Strategic SEO techniques are utilized for website promotions so as to help you achieve higher rankings. As your website ranks on the top positions in the search engine result pages (SERPs), the traffic on your website is increased tremendously. So, the return on investment (ROI) of the website also rises.

Link building – Inbound links, diverting the Internet users to the main website are created by the SEO experts all over the Internet on blogs, discussion forums and social networking sites. Reciprocal links are also made with websites that share a similar theme.

2. Selection of the right keywords – Accurate selection of keywords is also necessary for the success of a website promotion campaign. The chosen keywords should attract relevant traffic to the website. The competence of these keywords must be checked.

3. “Content is the king” – This phrase is indeed true and holds a lot of importance in the SEO world. SEO consultants ensure that the content of the website is original, easy to read, up-to-date and have the appropriate keyword density. Over stuffing of keywords unnaturally may draw the suspicion of spamming towards the website. So, professional firms are quite alert in this regard.

4. Article, blogs and press release submission – As updated information is necessary to achieve higher rankings, blogs, press releases and articles are written by expert writers associated with professional SEO firms and the link of the website is included in the author’s bio. These writing copies are then submitted to different online directories. They disseminate information on your niche keywords and are free from plagiarism.

5. Web designing – Last but not least, the website designing of the company is also checked by the affordable SEO Company and amendments are made in the website so as to make it search engine friendly.

The development plan is a report that both organizes and keeps on track the nonprofit organization’s journey on a month to month basis. The plan determines if we have funds for all projects and programs as well as general operating expenses. The grants are listed by priority and chronological need making it a schedule as well as a budget tool.

The parts of the development plan are listed:
• Funding Source – Who we plan to request funds from monthly based on our research.
• Project or program – Which area in the organization that the potential funding applies. This column usually ties the potential funding to the itemized budget.
• Grant Dates - These are deadlines for submitting proposals.
•	Requested amount – Here is the amount and type of grant we are requesting.

The development plan also includes all fundraising efforts so that they are distributed according to the budget which is generally approved by the organizations Board of Directors. The plan is a full listing of all potential contributors, both individuals and grants. Also any fundraising events or sales of products or services would also be listed.

The development plan is usually not generated or given much merit by the accountants because it is projected and therefore not cast in stone but more like blue sky type information. Because development plans are not given much merit small nonprofits fail at their fundraising efforts due in part to no planning. Were there is no structure there is chaos!

The information is generally relied on by managers and staff of the organization to help with integration and planning based on the success of the funding efforts. By studying the plan we can determine if we forgot to fund certain areas in the budgeting process. We can therefore do more research to fill the gaps in our budget leading to a smooth operation throughout the year.
